Transformers can sometimes explode and or catch fire without warning.

When a fire or explosion occurs, the damage and costs can be immense sometimes human life may be at risk. Equipment replacement, clean up and repair and lost revenue can run into the 10?s of millions. Modubuild fire/blast resistant systems are an ideal solution to safe guard and protect personnel & equipment form the dangers of possible transformer fire & explosion.

The modubuild explosion resistant barrier is designed to withstand up to 200kN/m2 of blast and is fire tested following an explosion and explosion tested following fire other features of the explosion resistant system include,

- Impact Resistant : (tested to DIN 4102)

- Up to 6 hour fire Integrity available.

- Up to 4 hour Fire integrity and Insulation.

- Resistant to hydrocarbon fire & explosion.

- Light weight so generally no additional structural works required.

- Quick to install : all components manufactured off site in our workshops and delivered in kit form.

- Suitable for internal & external applications

- Barriers can be designed to suit any height.

- Blast resistant doors, windows and service penetrations available as part of tested package.
